We're compiling a comprehensive list of eclipse-related events in Sydney. As events are announced by venues, organisations, and tour operators, we'll list them here with all the details you need.

Based on previous major eclipses (like the 2024 US total eclipse and the 2017 Great American Eclipse), here's what we expect for Sydney:
Viewing Parties
Large outdoor gatherings at parks, beaches, and public spaces with live commentary, big screens, and festive atmosphere. Expect major events at Circular Quay, Bondi Beach, and Centennial Park.
Science & Education
Talks, workshops, and exhibitions at the Australian Museum, Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Observatory, and universities. Expect expert-led viewing events with telescopes and solar filters.
Music & Arts Festivals
The eclipse will almost certainly inspire special concerts, art installations, and cultural events. Previous eclipses have seen major music festivals organised around the event.
Photography Workshops
Learn how to photograph the eclipse with your phone or professional camera. Expect pre-eclipse practice sessions and guided shooting events on the day.
Guided Tours
Tour operators will offer packages combining eclipse viewing with Sydney sightseeing, Blue Mountains day trips, or multi-day outback expeditions along the eclipse path.
Restaurant & Rooftop Events
Hotels and restaurants with rooftop access or harbour views will offer premium eclipse viewing experiences with food, drinks, and hospitality.
